FSG on Collective Impact

View Resource

FSG has identified five conditions that are common among successful collaboratives that create change at scale on social issues: 1) a common agenda among cross-sector partners, 2) a shared system of measurement, 3) coordinated and mutually reinforcing activities among partners, 4) continuous communication, and 5) a staffed “backbone” organization whose job it is to convene, guide, and coordinate the collaborating partners. FSG calls this approach to collaborative change Collective Impact.
